The GFA Holocaust Arts Project

The Gideon Foundation for the Arts (GFA) has been working on what is considered to be one of the most important projects in the world. In order to complete this groundbreaking memorial, the GFA is seeking the help of various charities and organizations. The project we are undertaking is one that touches all lives on the Earth, one so important that it has been overlooked for decades for fear of what it once meant. The project we are going to complete is the preservation of the valued memories of the millions lost in the ten year span from 1935 to 1945, the victims of the Holocaust. We at the GFA are attempting to construct an educational research center and museum based around the preservation of Holocaust related works of art.

There are a handful of talented artisans across the United States who either by inclusion in the Holocaust or by deep emotion for those who suffered, have gone on to dedicate part of their lives to preserving their visions through the arts of the most hateful event in history. Our mission is to collect all of these works and place them in a central museum for the worldwide viewing of these priceless works. This is unique from existing museums as most focus on actual Holocaust artifacts. Our foci are not on the artifacts, but on the world's artistic impression of the hate and suffering undergone by the victims of the Holocaust. There is no other monument in the world based on such a valuable piece of history. There must be one.

Along with the main purposes of collecting and constructing a museum for these works, a center of such must include a research center for further prevention of such hateful events as well as to inspire creativity for further artistic expressions. In our museum we will have guided learning centers where children can learn about the events of the Holocaust and how they are portrayed through the arts. There will be involvement with University professors and students to conduct classes around the museum collections. A museum of such will be considered not merely a national treasure but a worldly treasure.

In order to complete our mission, the GFA is in need of funding. Funding is needed for the establishment of the collection, the construction of the facilities and the establishment of a trust for continued operational support. Artist Gideon established the GFA some twenty years ago and has led the world in preserving the Holocaust victim's memories through the arts, now it is our goal to preserve the works of these artisans who so emotionally saved the souls of millions. We must get help so we can help.

The GFA is looking for volunteers and donations.  If you have any interest whatsoever in helping us reach our goals, please let us know.

The GFA Holocaust Arts Project will have the following defined goals:

  • Construct a museum and education center facility for the purpose of preserving Holocaust related artworks.
  • Collect all available Holocaust related artworks across the United States and the world.
  • Establish in the museum and education center, an International Center for Holocaust Arts Preservation Museum and Research Center.
  • Establish working relations with Universities and schools for the purpose of offering student learning sessions and professional study careers.
  • Work with International Representatives for the prevention of future Holocaust related hate crimes.
  • Provide studios for the development of artistic expression related to hate prevention.
